The Penta & Stone sculpture received first prize at the Busan Biennale during the Busan Sea Art Festival in October 2004 in Korea. Six artists were invited and eleven were in competition to create artwork on the seaside with «Chasm» as theme.
The Penta & Stone sculpture is a device constituted of two elements: a foldable floating framework and a natural stone. The framework, made out of rubber and bamboo, is articulated and linked to the stone by a blue rope. The framework and the stone thus always stay related with each other, whatever happens. The sea brings the element motion, while the sand its stability. Sea and sand continuously modify the form of the device.
